The “Manta Ray” Adjustable Inside Applicator (AIA) is Tapepro Tools recent innovation that makes fast work of irregular internal corners. This applicator works in conjunction with Trim-Tex Mud Set beads to improve corner joint strength and quality while speeding up the installation process.
The Manta Ray is designed to apply joint compound to splayed internal angles prior to fitting corner bead. It features spring-loaded wings that provide a range of movement from 160 to 100 degrees making it extremely versatile.
This applicator does not apply compound to the apex of the joint so is perfect for expansion type corner beads that incorporate a flexible center in their design.
The Manta Ray was designed for Trim-Tex Mud Set Magic Corner and Trim-Tex Mud Set Adjustable Inside Corner Bead but is also suitable for other “mud-on” style beads and tapes such as No-Coat and Straitflex.
