Project Overview
Port of Brisbane is playing a role in stimulating Brisbane’s economy by growing Queensland’s cruise industry. The new terminal is due to open in late 2020, this will become the gateway to show case all that South East Queensland has to offer and be a vital pillar of Brisbane and Queensland’s tourism economy supporting up to 3750 jobs and contribute $1.3 billion in net expenditure into the Brisbane economy. The $177m Brisbane International Cruise Terminal is supporting, on average, approximately 245 jobs during each year of construction. This includes many local contractors and consultants, suppliers and manufacturers .

Superior Wall and Ceilings is a multi AWCI award winning ceiling and partition contractor that takes pride in delivering the best quality, reliability and value for all its project stakeholders. Hindmarsh & Superior Group teamed up to deliver another high-quality project that no doubt has some of the best finishes in the business. As their name suggests Superior has definitely put their stamp on this project.
In the early stages of the project Wallboard Tools was contracted to help them to achieve the desired outcome. Trim-Tex beads were of most benefit on this project. The Super Seal Tear Away L Bead was used in a unique way for the main ceiling area, also the use of our Hideaway Expansion Bead and the ever reliable 10mm Tear Away L Bead.
The reliability and design of Trim-Tex Tear Away Beads, was a big cost saving on the project by not having to clean out over filling of the beads on door or window frames which aided the speed and quality of the finished project. Superior is a market leader and is always trying to find the most cost effective, time and best quality materials to use. We look forward to working on many more projects like this one.
