Safety Bulletin – Trim-Tex Spray Adhesive

Safety Bulletin – Trim-Tex Spray AdhesiveSpray Adhesives have become an essential accessory for plasterers across Australia.  So it’s important your Spray Adhesive carries all the correct warnings and information.

Spray Adhesive is hazardous goods, that means it’s a legal requirement to have the correct labelling including the following information on the product:

  • Any relevant pictograms or warnings consistent with the classification of the chemical
  • The Australian supplier or importers name and address
  • A 24hr emergency phone number, for specific poisons or treatment advice

Failure to display the correct information and labelling violates the “Labelling of Workplace Hazardous Chemicals” code of practice and could result in steep penalties.

Further to the product labeling it’s also a requirement to have a Material Safety Data Sheet available for hazardous products detailing the chemical makeup, relevant classifications and first aid information.  You can download the Trim-Tex Spray Adhesive (72-847) MSDS from the Wallboard Tools website under “Downloads” or simply click the link below.

Make sure you’re covered – check your spray adhesive cans today and make sure they adhere to Australia’s Hazardous Chemicals code of practice by displaying the correct information and relevant warnings.
